So our camera suffered a most unfortunate fall, so we have not been taking any pictures for some time. A new one is on the way… (these were the last photos taken, not the best, but hey, it’s all we’ve got).
Kayla and I went to the Children’s museum to explore. Most of the exhibits would be more exciting for a walker for sure, and a bit older. There was a toddler area where Kayla liked the kelp forest and wanted me to walk her in there over and over. We then explored the rest of the museum and found a drum for Kayla to play.
Kayla loves the drums more and more. Every time she sees one of mine she wants me to play it, and then she dances and dances. It is super sweet. I took her to the dance class where I used to drum, and she really loved seeing/hearing the drummers and dancers. She was hitting the floor as if it were a drum and doing some funky moves in between the dancers.
Wayne celebrated his 75th birthday, and we went down to Longview to celebrate with him. Kayla took home one of Wayne’s helium bday balloons. This provided her with lots of entertainment time. Whether letting go of the string and having mommy retrieve it, or batting it around.
Tim went to Mexico for just about a week for work. The last week in February Tim, Kayla, myself and 3 other families took a trip to Whistler. Kayla did great with the other kids, pretty good in the car (considering it was way to long in the car) and we had a good time too. Tim and I took turns the first day, and actually got to ride together one day since we switched child watching with another couple. That was a nice treat. It was an amazing gorgeous drive home followed by a potato burrito at Casa Que Pasa on the way home. Not such a bad way to spend a Friday.
