I have been wanting to check out the Medieval village in Carnation for a while now. We finally got to go and were there for the opening which involved a royal trumpeting or something like that. It was a small village, but cute. The grounds were a beautiful wooded area. There was a potter, blacksmith, arrow making person (I forgot the name), a dueling instruction and puppet show.
The girls decided to make some candles once the candlemaker’s wax was hot enough. That involved putting a wick in some hot wax, and then walking in a circle waiting for the others to dip in theirs before it was your turn again. The adults took over from time to time as it was a loooong process. The end result are two small but lovely candles.
For a nominal fee, one could try their hand at archery. Always a favorite of mine since we used to do this in school. Oma tried her hand at it too, and did quite well. It’s interesting to see archery coming back around every since/ the Hunger Games movie came out.
