We started out the summer by renewing out zoo membership. Kayla rose to the challenge of riding the elephants. We also hit one of the local beaches on Lake Sammamish. It was nice because the water was calm enough and shallow enough that the girls could wade out into it by themselves. This was during the super hot week too, so it was needed to keep cool.
Julia is a pretty social girl, and introduces herself to other kids at the playground by saying “I’s julia”. The Julia part isn’t fully comprehensible yet, so sadly most kids don’t say much in response. It is super sweet though.
Kayla really loves to spend time filling buckets and pouring out the water. She really always had. She loves to see her friends, even though they sort of “boss” each other around. Maybe it’s a young girl thing.
Kayla had her last day of preschool. There was a picnic at the park including the kids giving a play for us. If I was more technically inclined I would post it here, sorry. I can’t believe her first year of preschool is over already. She will move from the Scallywag class to become a Ragamuffin in the fall.
The girls continue to love each other, fight with each other, have jealous moments and have giggle moments together too. They seem to find enjoyment out of each other most times.
