I felt brave on Friday, so I took the girls to the Folklife festival at seattle center. I haven’t been in years for fear of crowds. We went early enough that it didn’t start getting super crowded until we were leaving. The girls had so much fun dancing and spinning each other around. It was fun to watch them dancing around the people.
We met up with one of Kayla’s friends from school and they had fun around the fountain. What a fun way to start the long weekend.
On Saturday we headed for the peninsula and headed back to Scenic beach state park for some camping. It was a super low tide and there were sooo many starfish to see and touch. Kayla had fun petting the starfish. There were some super large clumps of them, something I hadn’t seen before.
Kayla even held her first crab. She was pretty excited about that. Both of our girls are now seasoned campers and I think everyone had a pretty good time.
