What else does one do on a hot day but play with water and soapy bubbles and get super soaked. Who knew a large bucket filled with water would be such a hit. We had a few of Kayla’s friends over in the yard as the playground was just too hot.
Flash has been enjoying the outdoors more as well, and seemed to be loving the sun this day. She is still a bit wary of our youngest, who gets so excited when she sees Flash that she yells “cat” and runs after her. It is pretty cute though Julia doesn’t get to pet her so much because of this. Flash comes around a lot more and often sleeps with Kayla.
Rather than getting soaked like her sister, Julia decided to hang out under the kitchen nook and go upside down. This is one of her favorite things to do lately.
We biked down to Fremont to take our girls to see the Solstice parade. There were tons of naked bikers this year leading it all off. Seattle is quite the exhibitionist city… We watched most of the parade and enjoyed the beautiful day. It is one of the more interesting parades out there. Lots of crazy costumes (or lack thereof) and interesting people, floats, music, etc. make up the parade.
