Oh my goodness, it’s your first tooth! No wonder you’ve been screaming all day. At first we thought it looked like a hole in her gum, an opening for that emerging tooth, but then we could feel it, that jagged edge. It’s too bad that it needs to hurt her so much. I hope they come in quickly! On Friday Kayla started scooting backwards. She seems to do this mostly on the hardwoods where she can slide easliy. She also now does a sort of head dive from a sitting position to end up on the hands and stomach. This is a bit dangerous on the floor as she can really bonk her head. Babyproofing may be in our near future.
We spent the weekend at Jay’s cabin. It was as usual a fun relaxing weekend (well, other than an unhappy baby today). We went on a hike on Saturday to Hamma Hamma lake. It was a pretty mellow hike, and Kayla did great for half of the hike, in the backpack. It was our first time trying it out. She seemed to like it. My guess is she just got cold and tired. There was snow by the lake, so it was somewhat chilly.
