So it finally happened. That ever awaited for introduction of solid foods. We chose yams for the occasion, and had a little yam fest. It was a day after Kayla’s 6 month birthday, and what a beautiful day it was. The autumn has been amazing gorgeous so far. Anyhow, dad did most of the feeding to Kayla. There were some sour faces, smiles and spoon grabbings. We’re not convinced that she actually ate much of it. She did quite a bit of bffting that seemed to spit most of it out again. For a while she looked like she was choking too. We got a video of that in case anyone wants to give me a second opinion, and Tim had to keep reassuring me that she was okay. Even though she wore most of what was fed to her, she did take spoonfuls of every last bite. (In subsequent feedings, yes I am backdating the entry, she has refused anything after one or two bites. I am assuming this is normal and okay. Right, you other moms and dads out there?).
