As much as we were hoping for another dry soccer season, Julia’s soccer team was able to experience some true Northwest soccer playing. Not only heavy rain, but heavy sideways rain. Also, they were the last game of the day so the field was good and muddy for them. They had a great time though and were happy to show off their muddy, soaked selves at the end.

Just to let you know, my cell phone stopped working suddenly, and so I have lost my photos from late August through mid-September. I was able to find the first day of school photo as I had emailed it to Tim. Kayla was so nervous, but both girls seem to really like school this year again. So far, September has been full of school, gymnastics and soccer. Julia has been doing well in soccer and scored several goals in her first game. They started gymnastics at a new location but seem to enjoy that too. Girl scouts starts next week, so schedules will be full.

For labor day weekend we joined Oma and Opa for the Big Four ice caves hike again. It was quite fun. The weather was perfect and the caves well formed. There were loads of people, but that’ show it goes here. I don’t have any other photos as they were lost with my phone, but here is one from the picnic area. Lovely hike.
