trees for sale

30 November 2011

Kayla’s school sells Christmas trees as a fund raiser. This year I got roped into signing volunteers up to work at the tree lot. (A much harder task than it should be!) Anyhow, the girls love working at the lot. I have trouble keeping them away sometimes. Julia even helped with new shipment of trees last week, carrying in wreaths with another 4 year old girl. Of course, playing in the trees is pretty fun as well.

Kayla really enjoyed taking money from folks and adding the tally marks to keep track of which trees sold. She was pretty good at drinking hot chocolate as well.

Opening day

19 November 2011

Lucky us, having a cabin in Skykomish. It made for an easy time getting to the slopes for opening day. we ripped it up on Daisy (the beginner run). Kayla had 3 runs, Tim and I two and Julia 1 (she is not skiing on her own yet. Hopefully when lessons start in Jan!). But, it was only a short drive and made the short day worth it. Only two lifts were running so we didn’t miss much.
