We drove down to Longview to celebrate Thanksgiving again this year. Kayla was much more engaging with everyone, getting lots of hugs and trying out all of the toys at grandpa Wayne and grandma Delores house. We were suprised with a baby shower and our new little one will have some more cute clothes to wear. Thank you everyone! We also went over to the Taft household to visit there too.

Sometimes it’s hard to remember all that Kayla accomplishes as it’s so much so quickly and being in the throes of it daily as well as the usual sleep deprivation, it sometimes seems as though she’s been doing them forever.
Right now she is really into stacking her blocks and loves to show off her accomplishment. This seems to be a favorite activity.
She also can count to two and does so repeatedly, though I’m not sure she really gets it.
Of course her vocabulary continues to grow and she can even get somewhat demanding about which songs she wants to hear in the car, saying “music” until you turn it on, then “no, off” if she doesn’t like the song that’s playing.
She is still a chatterbox and loves to call Oma and Opa on the phone to say “hi” and “hello”. She is a really good helper and loves to watch in the kitchen. She’ll pull her stepstool over and say “watching” and wants to help wash dishes, or make the dinner. She has some favorite friends and will be very sweet with them, taking them up to her room and interacting as best as 18 month olds can. She likes to practice jumping as well as some of the other skills she is learning at the Little Gym. She still likes to dance and loves having her daddy swing her “round”.
