Let’s start with Sunday. We continued our morning hike deal and headed to Tiger mountain. Kayla of course looked for a didi (hiking stick) and found one that she approved of. We had a nice walk through the woods, only having to sing to Kayla for half of the hike before she settled into the backpack and just hung out. Sunday night we had over some friends for dinner, and Kayla got to play with little Beija. They seem to get along well.
Saturday was not quite as much fun. It was also am amazingly gorgeous day, but most of it was spent with a broke down car waiting for a tow truck. Yup, our two year old toyota broke down. Go figure. Anyhow, we were on our way to vashon to visit with my cousin who was in from Colorado. We did make it there, but some 6 hours later. We had a great dinner at the old hardware store and a good visit as well.

Miss Kayla continues to be lots of fun. She can have such smiley days like today. We went to the outdoor mall in town and she was greeting everyone “hi” and having a blast. She is learning new words daily, though most of them you have to be in the know to know what she is talking about. I’ve got most of them and Tim is starting to catch on :-) Kayla is also dancing again which of course is super cute. Other new feats are that she twirls in circles (maybe it was the Grateful Dead I listened to in utero?) and she walks backwards sometimes for fun too. She continues to be amazing.

We decided to try out one of Seattle’s festivals before they end. We went to the Fisherman terminal one. There was some fun music and lots of fun kids activities that were still too old for Kayla. Maybe next year. She enjoyed eating Salmon and corn on the cob and running down the pier.
On Sunday we went hiking at Twin Falls, a fairly easy family hike. Kayla did really well both on her feet and in the backpack.
