I just love this girl. She brings so much joy to my life. Kayla is a very happy girl these days. Screaming for joy and singing this “scream” to anyone who will listen. She still giggles alot and manages to share her smile with strangers. Kayla still has her more serious side as well where she just takes everything in and watches. She also has started playing peek a boo on her own. Very cute.
We had a good though rather uneventful labor day weekend. On Friday we went to Golden Gardens for Trish’s birthday celebration. I believe it was Kayla’s first beach bonfire. We kept Kayla up quite a bit past her bedtime as I got to do some long overdue drumming. The rest of the weekend was spent mostly doing home projects. We had a leaky faucet in the basement that needed attention, and we finally got the sanding done of our outside table.
On Tuesday Kayla and I went to the zoo. She was shouting for joy all over the place, though I think the trees and plants may have been more interesting than the animals. She did have a butterfly land on her hat in the butterfly dome.
We are back to our weekly goings on, walking with friends or hanging out with the mommies. Good stuff. We even walked in the rain for the first time today. Maybe I shouldn’t admit that I welcomed it somewhat. But, I did. :-)
